At Home, At Work

Doughnut & Chardonnay

In the past three days, I had more meat and rice than usual because the Korean food was so good. So I was trying to balance out with less eats today.

First, I had cherries for breakfast as planned.

Guess what happened next?

My boss brought two boxes of doughnuts. Shoot!

How can I stay away from it!?

I tried to cut portion. Maybe these three is equal to one regular size.

lunch: papaya salad from Khun 9 Thai
Although it’s only vegetable and shrimp, I got pretty satisfied.

IMG_5289
Around 3pm, I had another mini doughnut. Bad!

On the way home, I suddenly wanted a glass of chill white wine.
I spontaneously stopped by a liquor store and grabbed a bottle of chardonnay.

Mmmm, did I consume more calories after all???

Again, I didn’t feel like cooking this evening. I swung by S-Mart, Korean Market and picked up some ready-to-eat food. I love Korean markets. They offer a lot of good stuff for reasonable prices.

Dine LA @ Fig & Olive

Dine LA’s Restaurant Week is a 14-day (July 14-27) event that locals and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of specially priced prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus from some of L.A.’s best restaurants.

Why not trying a new restaurant!?

There are so many restaurants participating, I really couldn’t pick one. But, we finally did.

Not feeling Like Cooking

I felt lazy as a usual Saturday morning. My husband fixed french toast for breakfast. We didn’t have any fruit to go with, so I made green juice with spinach, parsley, apple and lemon.

IMG_5236
It tastes drinkable with apple and lemon.

IMG_5237
His French toast is a little dry, but can’t complain it because of my laziness.

IMG_5240
Lunch: curry udon with a lot of green onion

I didn’t feel like cooking at all. We just went to pick up some dish at the Main Course.

Baby Back Ribs To Go

On Wednesday, Sunny & Vihn, owners of Huong Vi informed me that they were going to serve the baby back ribs on Friday, which is today. I couldn’t go out for lunch, so called to reserve two order to pick up later.
