At Home, At Work

Unagi Chazuke

I had one of gifts from a friend in Shiga, Japan for dinner. Unagi Chazuke! Simmered unagi designed for ochazuke.

*Chazuke or ochazuke is a simple Japanese dish made by pouring green tea, dashi, or hot water over cooked rice, roughly in the same proportion as milk over cereal, usually with savory toppings (Wikipedia).

Unagi chazuke tastes so good. I added a little bit wasabi and mitsuba.

Both with and without hot water work. I had three bowls of rice and 10 pieces of unagi alone. So stuffed.

Simply cucumber with mayo & spicy garlic sauce

lunch: Invited to BBQ Party. Unfortunately not a good experience.

Making up for myself after lunch
