It’s time for grocery shopping. I almost always go to Nijiya Market for Japanese grocery, but today we went Mitsuwa for both lunch & shopping.
Both food court and market were so busy. Only three cashiers were opened and we had to wait in the long line to check out 😦
She is a good friend of mine who shares a same passion toward food and drink. Especially drinks. We used to be coworkers and had lunch together at a Japanese restaurant on some weekend. Ended up finishing two small bottles of sake. Both had a thought we could be good friends. It’s been three years since then and a quite while since I had dinner with her last December.
Although presentation is unique, it is too sweet and actual apple cup is not easy to use. Ordered large one as recommended, but that was a huge mistake. We had to stick to this sweet shochu till end and it was not a good compliment to the food here. I learn beer is always best for Yakitori and Oden!
Torihei is my favorite yakitori restaurant, but food was not as good as it used to be. My palate might have changed. Overall food here is too salty or too garlicky. If we had beer instead, it could’ve been better. I am glad she seemed to enjoy it at least.

Our dinner started at 5:30 and ended at 11:00. 5.5 hours gone so fast!
We had a lunch meeting with a financial company.
I love both salad and sandwich. The lunch box includes chocolate chip cookie as well. I saved it for my husband because I got too full.
