Antipasto: Mantecato (Creamy Cheese Appetizer)

Mantecato means “mix well.” One is Philadelphia whipped cream cheese (originally Toma Cheese) mixed with salt, pepper, olive oil and walnut on top. Another is mixture of mascarpone and gorgonzola with a drizzle of truffle honey.

A friend brought a bottle of Viognier.  Well balanced and perfect with cheese dish.

Primo Piatto: Spaghetti alla Puttanesca
It means “prostitute style spaghetti.” It’s named because they are always busy and this recipe is so quick to make. Interesting!

Because it tastes complexly flavorful, you could never imagine how simple it actually is.
