Antipasto: Mantecato (Creamy Cheese Appetizer)
Mantecato means “mix well.” One is Philadelphia whipped cream cheese (originally Toma Cheese) mixed with salt, pepper, olive oil and walnut on top. Another is mixture of mascarpone and gorgonzola with a drizzle of truffle honey.
Enjoying with grissini and crackers. Both are available at Trader Joe’s.
A friend brought a bottle of Viognier. Well balanced and perfect with cheese dish.
Primo Piatto: Spaghetti alla Puttanesca
It means “prostitute style spaghetti.” It’s named because they are always busy and this recipe is so quick to make. Interesting!
Because it tastes complexly flavorful, you could never imagine how simple it actually is.
Secondo Piatto: Pesce al Forno con Patate
Gorgeous dish of a whole red snapper.
Fluffy fish with all flavors infused potatoes
Dolce: Tortino di Mela (spooky version)
This mini apple cake is easy to bake too.
