My friend’s puppy is getting ready.

First winery on the day is Eberle Winery, which features Wild Boar. My friend and I was born in year of Boar, so it caught my eyes when selecting wineries to visit from a bunch.

Then, we went to Treana, which was one of pairings at the Thanksgiving Dinner. My friend really liked Viognier based white wine. Overall, we all like their wines and prices are reasonable as well.

The last winery was L’Aventure, which required us to make an appointment for tasting. The owner is from France and had an experience of wine making in Bordeaux.

IMG_1554
A little puppy welcomed us.

This is only one winery that doesn’t waive tasting fee ($15) with purchase of a bottle. Today, they offer three reds, Optimus ($54), Cote de Cote ($96) and Cuvee ($106). All of them taste rich and mild. I had tasting twice each and decided to buy Optimus (48% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Petit Verdot).

The second winery we visited was Justin. We were going to have lunch here, but it was 2 hour wait without a reservation 😦

PC Cattle Burger $19 + Thomas Hill Red $10

I was too hungry and too tired of wine, but I ordered and split a glass of red because it’s a best way to enjoy wine with food and food makes me want to have wine.

IMG_1458
Mmmm, I love the burger. Aioli, smoked bacon and blue cheese…all components in the burger are well blended.

IMG_1459
The side salad with quinoa and a hint of basil is very delicious too.

Last winery is Sculpterra and they have a lot of good points wines. Best thing we found here is pistachio served along with wine tasting. Maybe my palate got really exhausted at this point.
