Carbonara & Shrimp Salad

In 2016, my new year resolution is to explore my cooking by trying new recipes. After dining out a lot of restaurants, I realize they are not always superior comparing to home cooking because no one understands your taste and wants to make your family & yourself happier more than you. You can also customize a recipe as you like once you learn how to cook it. Moreover, it feels great to fully understand what ingredients are in there.

Today I felt like Carbonara.

No much heavy cream left in the fridge, so added 2% milk. It turned skinny carbonara, but still tastes rich with Parmigiano-Reggiano.
