Happy Hour @ The Brixton

I usually pick him up at his work in Santa Monica and go home in West LA on Friday. Famous LA traffic is a huge problem. It takes forever to cross 405 FWY on a local street from West to East. All major streets such as Santa Monica, Wilshire and Olympic to home are all jammed with cars toward the freeway, and 10 FWY is even worse.

We tried a new restaurant bar in Santa Monica today to avoid the traffic. At least we would be patient for the terrible traffic with full stomach.

He found a place that offer happy hour and free parking near his work. Perfect!

All day menu- discounted during HH

Draft Beer all $5 during HH

I had Coronado Wit and he had Firestone 805.

Baby Kale Salad $11 ($10 for HH)

Short Rib Poutine $12 ($10 for HH)

Food is nothing special. Dressing for salad is overpowering but baby kale itself was fresh and tasty. Poutine is ok to me. Short rib, potato, cheese and beer made him so happy. I still want to try some other items next time, such as tuna tartar, fried chicken & biscuit etc. The price can’t be beaten.

This place reminds me of Upper West’s happy hour. I miss the experience with nice service and food there.
