Notice of Filming

IMG_3267
This morning it was a little noisy outside. What’s going on? Looks like people starting a party or something. They got even espresso machine on a portable table.

IMG_3260
Aha! I realized that this filming was happening in the neighborhood when driving by a hundred of crews with filming equipments.

We still get so excited to see filming events in the neighborhood after three years we moved here in LA.

Scenic Route in Beverly Hills & Taste of Tehran

Hand Car Wash x 2 cars

We drove to Kenneth Hahn Recreation Area to check the lake for fishing, but the park was closed. Then we decided to cruise along the scenic route along Beverly Blvd. & Mulholland drive.

“This is California” kind of scenery

IMG_3237
From Mulholland Scenic Parkway
There is a trekking course entry. We might want to try next time.

IMG_3239
A few tour buses passing by probably for Beverly Hills mansions and beautiful panoramas

IMG_3240
Our lunch place was closed for Easter.

IMG_3241
There is the restaurant I have wanted to try.

IMG_3243
No time to research the menu, so I picked the first one of plates.

IMG_3246
Boneless Chicken $12 and Beef Koobideh $11 (half salad +$1)
This chicken is so juicy. We love the fresh salad & tasty dressing. Appreciate ripe tomatoes.

It’s better than our expectation. Z Garden is still our favorite just because their plate includes hummus. Food quality is very competitive.

He said, “the wine sauce tastes interesting.” I assume he didn’t like it. 😦

Happy Hour @ Butcher’s Dog

It was my paid holiday today. So I picked him up at work at 4:30pm and tried a new pub/sport bar for HH.

IMG_3216
We assumed that it could be crowded for the college basketball games but not so much probably because it was still before 5pm.

IMG_3217
CHICKEN LIVER & FOIE GRAS MOUSSE Port gelee, country toast $10 + House White $6 & Amber Ale $6
This dish was all for me. He doesn’t eat liver.

IMG_3219
CHICKEN WINGS, buffalo sauce $6
Super hot!

IMG_3220
FISH’N CHIPS, Tartar sauce, lemon $9
Good fries and juicy fish.

It’s relatively a good experience but not outstanding. The liver mousse is challenging and the house white is not my type. I would suggest Ingo’s Tasty Diner for next HH.
