Eastern European Cuisine @ The Main Course

He worked from home today, so I drove home straight from work. A question was where we should go for dinner tonight?

I had a $15 Restaurant.com certificate for the Main Course, which is an Eastern European restaurant within a walk distance from home. Perfect!

The cozy and comfy place was a full of seniors when we arrived. I understand that the homey dishes would attract kids to seniors.

Spicy Shrimp with Linguini in Creamy Spicy Tomato Sauce $17.95
After debating with my favorite Romanian Stuffed Eggplant, I decided to try something new.

He had his favorite, Beef Brisket ($16.95). We both enjoyed the dinner so much. Our server apologized a low service because of a large group before us, but it was not bad at all.

Total: $40.80 + tax – $15 coupon = $29.47 + tip

Trying New Korean Dish @ Western Soondae

A co-worker introduced another new Korean dish to me. Soondae (Sundae)! The restaurant call “blood sausage.” It sounds so bizarre and I got a little nervous but more curious about it.

I ordered a special combo ($10.99) including this blood sausage soup with beef or pork intestines.

IMG_3602
Main dish: blood sausage & napa cabbage wraps with steamed pork belly

The black sausage is Soondae. It tastes not so bad as it looks. It tastes like steamed mochi rice and doesn’t smell blood at all. At the same time, it doesn’t have a “wow” value.

However, this particular combo is a great deal. I love Bossam (steamed pork) and soup. I finished only a half, so other half will be my lunch tomorrow.
