Happy Hour for Mexican Food
Modelo Especial & Dos Equis Amber $4 each
Guacamole $7, hass avocado, serranos, cilantro, red onions, Yxta salsa brava, spicy pepitas, fresh chips
Best guac & chips in my life! Hot sauce on the side is perfect to adjust its spiciness.
Callo de Hacha $6, jumbo sea scallop encrusted with pepitas, chipotle-peppercorn sauce
When seeing the menu, I thought it would be “too good to be true.” Here it is! Unbelievable quality and size for $6.
Tacos de Carnitas $9, slow-cooked pork, guacamole, red onions, cilantro, Yxta salsa brava
Wow! I’ve never seen chunky and flavorful carnitas like this. So upscale! It could be a fancy meal and doesn’t get messy at all.

This place is a full of surprises. They make casual popular Mexican food to the next level. More than 60 kinds of tequila and various cocktails available too. We definitely want to come back for dinner sometime soon.

Trastevere is the restaurant we went on the first date in Santa Monica driving all the way from OC 12 years ago.
Shopping at Santa Monica Place
I enjoy browsing men’s cloths better than women’s 😛
I like Camper, but they didn’t have anything catching my eyes this time.
We bought a few stuff at Uniqlo and took a break on a bench. Surprising to see most restaurants and cafes I know have been closed at Santa Monica Place and a lot of space got vacant 😦
Double Chocolate $6.45
Triple Berry $6.45
I totally forgot “Small” would not be quite small for us. Although it tasted good, we both couldn’t finish it. We could’ve shared one perfectly.
