10 Year Anniversary Dinner

We married 10 years ago today. It used to be a lot of fights before the marriage but got better and better every year since then.

He picked this place for the anniversary dinner.

Some people says this is the most romantic restaurant in Los Angeles.

I agree. Once stepping in there, you would have magical feeling with all candle lights and gentle Mediterranean music.

Mine: Bailly-Lapierre, Crémant de Bourgogne, Reserve Brut $12, His: Pinot Noir, Joseph Phelps ‘Freestone’, Sonoma Coast 2014 $17

My appetizer: SPICY AHI TUNA TARTARE AND SHAVED FENNEL SALAD, Brioche Toast, Green Olive Tapenade $20, His: SEARED FOIE GRAS AND FRIED DUCK EGG, Green Lentils, Fingerling Potato Frites, Port Wine Reduction $32

Ahi Tuna tartare is very nice to start with a glass of sparkling and generous portion to share. He really liked the foie gras. I had a bite and it melted away in mouth. Delicious 🙂

My entree: ROASTED DUO OF DUCK BREAST & LEG CONFIT WITH CANDIED KUMQUAT-WILD HONEY-GINGER SAUCE, Basmati Brown Rice, Asparagus $40, His: PINE NUT-ROSEMARY CRUSTED RACK OF LAMB, MADEIRA, SMOKED GARLIC & GOAT CHEESE SAUCE, Green Lentils & Kale, Yukon Gold Potato Purée $38

I like the gamey taste of duck and had another glass of sparkling to enjoy with it. His lamb was good too but just made me miss Icelandic lamb, which is tenderer and juicier with no distinct smell.

Dessert: Creme Caramel $12 with tea
