I didn’t take pictures but we had fried chicken, California roll, salmon skin salad, agedashi tofu and grilled beef tongue etc.

They got a birthday cake as well.

Delicious Sushi Lunch with A Friend

Our friend’s flight to NY was cancelled and he had to spend one more day in LA. This is the view from airbnb he stayed. Walk distance to Manhattan Beach. Nice 🙂

While my husband was playing a tennis match, I took him to sushi lunch.

Tuna on Crispy Rice $9.80

Sushi A la Carte, Yellowtail Belly, Salmon Belly, Albacore Belly, Jambo Scallop, Sea Orchin $32

Salmon Skin Salad $7.80

White Fish Tasting $19

From left, Halibut, Red Snapper, Kurodai

Toro Tasting $35

From front, Toro, Seared Toro, Negi Toro

We were so happy to have delicious sushi since both of our partners don’t care about sushi so that it was a rare opportunity 🙂 He had two more pieces of Yellowtail sushi and says sushi in NY costs twice as much. Ordered a big hot sake too 🙂

Cooking Day – Kinton & Namasu

Breakfast: Brie & Homemade Strawberry Jam on the toast + Coffee
This jam, my boss made tastes so fruity and organic.

I went to pick up steak and a few more things for girls party tomorrow and stopped by a pastry shop.

Lunch: Japanese delicacies (Pickled Herring & Herring Roe), soba + Chardonnay

Salmon Roe on Herring Roe
I would like to have sake instead of the chardonnay, which I bought as cooking wine 😦

I spent all afternoon/evening to prepare 栗きんとん (Kuri Kinton) & なます (Namasu). Two important dishes to Osechi, Japanese enjoy during new years eve and days. Although there is no photo to prove, I worked so hard to get done.

Last Working Day 2017

Pastry from Copenhagen in Culver City

Mexican Lunch with boss

Tlayuda Original with Beef $13.95, Mole Coloradito (Pork) $13.95

This mole is so good. Pork is so tender and mole sauce is well balanced with sweetness & spiciness.

I am not a big fan of this Oaxacan pizza.

Nice deco

I would come back for dinner with him.

Christmas Eve Menu

Chic deco

His: Homemade Truffle Duck Foie Gras, Onion Chutney, Truffle Brioche

Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine is not so impressive.

Entree: Filet Mignon Wellington, Prosciutto & Mushroom in Puff Pastry, Truffle Mashed Potato, Green Beans, Bordelaise Sauce

Filet Mignon is so tender and delicious. Mashed potatoes are garlicky not much truffle flavor.

I don’t like some restaurants automatically add gratuity to the bill.
