Filet Mignon & Cream Puff


Breakfast @ 10:30am: His Grilled Cheese + Coffee
He was not happy because we had no butter in the fridge. I agree that it got a little dry and no richness. However, I feel happy that he fixed breakfast for me.


Lunch @ 2pm before his tennis match: My favorite ramen kit


He enjoyed as ramen


I had it as Tsukemen


Picked up Filet Mignon at Ralphs. Left in a room temperature for more than 2 hours.


Dinner @ 7pm: Filet Mignon, Broccoli, Tomato & Cauliflower Salad + Beer


Perfectly cooked and so tender. I just browned each side for 2.5 minutes on the pan. It tastes good with Yuzu Pepper too.


Dessert: Beard Papa’s Cream Puffs, Original & Honey Butter
We drove out to Sawtelle Blvd. to get some supplies and dessert. I tried a new item, Honey Butter Puff with Vanilla Cream. It was nice with extra sweetness.

Fancy Undon Noodle & Cream Puff

I went for lunch with a co-worker from a different department. She took me here for Kansai (Westside of Japan) Style Udon Noodle. The noodle is all home made with flour and the dashi broth is made out of shredded dried fish imported from Japan.

I debated between hot or cold, but this menu made me so curious. So I decided to just try it.

This is so good! Noodle is nicely chewy and dashi broth is just flavorful. I really enjoyed mochi tempura for the first time in my life.

A little tofu was included. This is amazing too.

I would like to go back for a hot noodle sometimes soon.

This little plaza is full of precious stores. I wish I would have enough time to browse clothing in a cute boutique. But, we had 5 minutes to check out a little patisserie instead.

Since my co-workers on the same floor always treat me with a bunch of good stuff, I picked up their famous cream puffs for everyone.

Cream Puff @ Mammoth Bakery

Since I moved to LA from Orange County, my favorite Japanese market has been Nijiya. Since there is no Nijiya market, I used to go to Marukai instead. I haven’t been to Marukai since last summer when my membership card expired. But somehow, I felt like shopping there and paid a buck for one day membership.

I like Nijiya because they carry more organic produce and health conscious items. On the other hand, Marukai has better prices overall and carry more variety of items. One thing I missed most was Mammoth Bakery.
