Krispy Kreme & Tacos de Carnitas

Dinner: Taco de Carnitas @ Tacomiendo

I was gonna skip dinner because I had two doughnuts today. I fixed udon noodle for him, but it was not enough and he asked me to come along to get tacos.

My carnitas taco tastes good as always, but the homemade corn tortilla stood out tonight somehow. It’s well balanced between chewy and crispy. Freshly made!

Breakfast: Strawberries, Blueberries, Icelandic Yogurt Drink

The company served dozen of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. I had an original glazed.

Lunch: Tonjiru, Soy Seasoned Boiled Egg, Pea Sprouts, Tomatoes, Rice

In the afternoon, there were still a bunch of doughnut in the kitchen. I couldn’t hold myself from eating another one, chocolate iced glazed 😛

*No photo during day because I left my cell phone at home. Shoot!

Celebrating Mexican Food

Breakfast: Cantaloup, Pain aux raisins, Coffee

Lunch: 4 Tacos, Asada, Carnitas & Pollo

We had a taco stand at work for all-you-can-eat-tacos. A Mexican family cooked BBQ and served authentic Mexican food. So delicious.

He is still sick and requested me to pick up tacos at Tacomiendo on the way home.

My dinner: Pescado Caesar Salad $7.50
Wow! This is so good. I love the crispy fish and perfectly seasoned. I can’t believe that it’s less than $10.

My First Carnitas Torta

We drove down to Huntington Beach to see our CPA in the morning. Traffic was not bad at all and we arrived there an hour earlier than the appointment time.

So drove further to see the ocean. It was such a great way to kill time!

Lunch at work

Enjoy a glass of chardonnay with edamame
I couldn’t wait for him coming home.

Dinner @ Tacomiendo
It feels that we are in Mexico here.

For the first time, I ordered Carnitas Torta ($7.50). It’s actually very first torta in my life.

It’s yummy and huge! Carnitas is crispy and juicy. I had only a half and took other half home.

Delicious Tacos @ Tacomiendo

Breakfast @ 9:15am: Orange, 2 Small Apple Pancake + Coffee
I’ve been out of control eating carbs, but tried to have as little as possible. Trying…

We had 3 things to do 1)checking my winter boots at Adventure16, 2)going an open house and 3)grocery shopping. After trying 3 different boos on, I got terribly hungry somehow.

Lunch @ Tacomiendo

I automatically ordered horchata. Oh-uh, more sugar!

Tacos of Lengua & Asada $2.75 each

It tastes so delicious. Carnitas he had was so good too. I liked its crispiness. Although it’s good, I had only one tortilla to control carb portion.

Finding a unique sake bottle while grocery shopping at Marukai

Dinner: Spicy Bean Sprouts & Pork + 2 make-ahead dishes + Fruit Tomatoes + Organic Red + Truffle Cheese

I made these make-ahead dishes and aqua pazza to be frozen for later.

Make-Ahead Meal Diet Day 36: 128.5lb (-4.5lb), body fat 24.5%
*Another surprise that my weight didn’t go up. Now I see it’s important to make adjustment one meal to another. If I had a lot of carbs for lunch, no carbs for dinner would work.

A Huge Taco Salad

Breakfast: Thick Pancake with Blueberry & Maple Syrup + Coffee

Lunch @ A Neighborhood Mexican Eatery

Taco Salad with Pescado & Lengua $7.50
A huge salad with guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, black beans, fish and beef tongue in crispy tortilla cup. You can choose other protein such as pollo, asada, carnitas etc. Actually, I ordered Cesar Salad, but it was ok because I was curious about Taco Salad and it was so good. I just wished I could have had this with beer while relaxing and watching TV at home.

My Hamburg Steak

Unfortunately, my husband’s tennis team lost at the semi-finals, that allowed him to come home much earlier around 1pm. He was so nice to come along with me for oil change and grocery shopping after lunch.

There is a Mexican place in the same mall of my oil change place. We had lunch there while waiting oil change got done.

Mine: Lengua Taco, His: Combination of Two Tacos, Asada & Carnitas + Lemonade
I was not so hungry that this generous size taco filled me enough. Lengua is very tender and tasty. The biggest surprise was lemonade. Freshly lemony that we could consume real vitamin 🙂

Simple Home Food Is Best

Last night was 4th of July. I kept sleeping while feeling sounds and explosion of fireworks just a few blocks away.

Still suffering from jet lag next morning. So glad to have everyday ordinary food finally.

breakfast: toast with dulce de leche + coffee

second breakfast: egg over rice with spicy garlic

lunch: lengua toco @ Tacomiendo

While I was stuck in bed in the morning, he went to tennis practice. After he came back, we went out for lunch. Mexican sounded good!

dinner: salad & pasta

During the Japan trip, we didn’t have enough salad and veggies. Trying to be healthy now.
